Exemption Recommendations for our MPs & MLAs.
I read this news today - An empowered group of ministers today approved exempting MPs and MLAs from paying toll on national highways. So another benefit goes in favor of our corrupt politicians.
I heard that in US, every Judge and minister has to pay toll and the only exceptions are – emergency vehicles and toll construction workers. Few days back I read that David Cameron has announced 5% salary cut for all the ministers including self and pay freeze for all MPs. This move of the new British PM will reduce some fiscal deficit and the recent move by our government will increase fiscal deficit.
I feel sad that Government considers MPs and MLA s above law of land and treated special.
Is it because they are the representatives of people and can approve everything that benefits them only?
Why these exceptions are always in their interest?
So, I believe that our MPs and MLAs deserve following exemptions as well –
- Shopping Malls
- Beer Bar
- Dance Bar
- Pubs
- Hotels
- Casinos
- Horse Riding
- Cruise
- Air Travel (If not yet exempted)
Also, there was a recent resignation from a minister in Karnataka government because of rape charges. Probably there should be some exemption for similar things.
If you find anything which our ministers deserve and should be exempted, please add to the list.
Thank You.

My Visa Interview
Hi Friends,
This is my first post on my blog page. The idea came in my mind when I thought of writing few things in my diary and started with the green pen, guess what? I had not used those pen from long back and now they are not working, so though of writing things on web. Here is my first blog. I know most of the people are not interested what some individual think about something or about own experiences but I am writing this just for me, my near and dear ones.
A little background before the scary day:
When I was working with Persistent and already decided to leave the company, in fact I had offer from a multinational company, one afternoon I got call from AKS consultant about some job opening and the lady on the call was talking a lot about the company and my possible future there. I heard her and said yes for the interview. She scheduled the interview same day and I visited the company Aptara Corporation. Interview was very good; the person who took my interview gave a signal of my taking me for the job. He asked if I am willing to visit onsite, I said yes I can go. He said if you are not willing probably you are not for the job. I said yes – I want to visit, that would be good for me. I thought that many companies make promise while recruiting but after becoming employee of the company policy does not take much time to reflect a change in the manual, so said yes to everything. Finally got offer form Aptara, offer was very good as compare to the one I had in hand so accepted thinking that, 2 offers in hand is good and maybe I will get more before my actual joining. The big fight was about joining date. I had given my joining date to the earlier company as 19th April considering my notice period at Persistent but Aptara wanted me join ASAP and if I cannot join within 15 days offer will not be valid so I started discussion with managers at Persistent and got consistent answer about not being able to release me before my notice period completion date. Finally I got released form Persistent on 2nd April 2010.
